History-CIE Uniform

This is a photograph of Mr Tom Brennan coming home from work in the 1960s. He is wearing his CIE work coat. Tom worked at  Kildare Station and at Cherryville Junction as a signal man. Please click on photo to get better view.

Workers were provided with one jacket ,one pair of trousers , one waistcoat and a hat  every year. An overcoat was provided every four years. A CIE badge was issued  just once.
