We have two 6th classes involved in the project, Ms Moore’s & Ms. Gannon’s. There are 2 classes of every level in our school from Junior Infants up to 6th class. Overall we have about 350 pupils in the school. It is very busy around us at the moment as there is a lot of demolition of some flats straight across the road from the school. For years, up to one third of our pupils lived on this one road, Sillogue Road, where the school is situated.
Our school is very involved in sport with teams taking part in Gaelic Football, Hurling and Soccer. We also have tag rugby coaches working with senior classes for a term and separate Hurling and Football coaches all year round.
After school homework and activity clubs also take place during the week.
Our school choir sing at all school events and have performed in concert in Vicar Street in the past with Glen Hansard, a past pupil of the school.
Another past pupil of ours is Philly McMahon, currently a member of the Dublin Senior Football Team. Good luck in the hunt for Sam Maguire this year Philly !!
